Yesterday morning Cllr Peter Smallbone, Cllr Jane James and I visited the Summer Fun Day being held at Four Dwellings School in Quinton. The event was supported financially by the Quinton Councillors via their Community Chest fund. As well as the Fun Day, in the afternoon there was a Tea Dance in the school hall.
As part of the Fun Day there was a car boot sale on the playground, plus a train ride, bouncy castle and other activities for children on the field. The fire service were present with a fire engine which the children could climb aboard, and the local PCSOs were there too, organising activities.
Inside there were stands from organisations such as Harborne’s swimming pool and Community Links (based at the new Kenrick Centre). And on the way out, we met up with representatives from Quinzone – but I’ll post about that tomorrow.
