New Premises And Council Meeting

Over the past few weeks, work has been taking place on Edgbaston Conservative Association’s new premises (see below) and it is now looking very smart – both inside and out. We have not had an office premises for a number of years and we are all very pleased that now we do have a base once again.

Meanwhile, today is Birmingham’s monthly Full Council meeting with items about Transport and the Police on the agenda. I will update this post later with news from the meeting.Nov 09 062

Now home from the monthly Full Council meeting. It was very good to see the Chief Constable attending for the debate on the police, and answering members’ questions.  I have often called for this to happen in the past, so it was great to see the new Chief Constable attending at the first available opportunity.

The Transport debate was also interesting and I had a chat with the Cabinet Member outside the chamber on my continuing concerns about the No 10 bus.

Finally,  it seems the move to bring Pinewood Film Studios to Longbridge was a non-starter.  Pinewood have apparently made it clear that they have no intention of moving from their present location.
