Improvements shortly to be made to the play area within Senneleys Park, (called the Senneleys Meadow Play Area) have been welcomed by both me and the Bartley Green Councillors.
The project will include two new pieces of play equipment – a climbing rope net structure and a rotator. In addition, rubber grass matting will be used as safety surfacing for the play area.
An outdoor gym area will help to link the main play area to the existing climbing stones, and the long meadow grass will be cut in such a way that it has maze paths going through it during the summer months.
These plans were drawn up after consultation at Woodcock Junior School, Long Nuke Junior Youth Club, and the St Francis Summer Playscheme. Following approval from the Bartley Green Ward Committee last week, work should start on site in January with completion of the new features due by the end of March.
