Last night I read a lesson at the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at St Augustine’s of Hippo Church in Edgbaston (pictured). Amongst the other readers was the Labour MP and representatives of various local organisations.
After the service, mince pies and mulled wine were served, then we stepped out onto the crisp snow to go home – which felt very Christmassy!
The snow looks lovely, but unfortunately it is playing havoc with people’s travel arrangements for Christmas. What with the snow (which is much heavier in some other parts of the country than here), the on-off BA strike, and the terrible trouble with Eurostar, many people are experiencing real problems travelling this Christmas.
