This week Conservatives from across the city travelled to Longbridge Ward for a Burns Supper at the Toby Jug pub in Rednal, to raise money for Northfield Parliamentary Candidate, Keely Huxtable’s campaign.
There were all the traditional elements of a Burns Supper, with the haggis being piped in, and poems by the bard.
Can’t say what the haggis was like (as I don’t eat offal) , but the vegetarian version was very tasty.
Keely was supported at the event by a number of Councillors, 3 other Parliamentary Candidates (including me), a former Northfield PPC, and the former Conservative MP for Northfield in the days when it included Bartley Green, Roger King. A very pleasant break from campaigning whilst raising money at the same time! Can’t be bad!
