Investing In Edgbaston

Driving around Edgbaston the past couple of days, it’s really noticeable how much investment is going into the area from the Conservative Council.

We’ve had a number of roads resurfaced since June (and the one local one which was promised and then not done, Greenfield Crescent, was only postponed because the landlords for that area – Calthorpe Estates -indicated they planned some investment in the road so it was thought best to wait for that).

As reported last week, a community vegetable and fruit garden is currently being installed on the Waterworks Estate off Monument Road, and this week major lighting upgrading work is being carried out along Augustus Road.

Augustus Road

I was in the road this morning, talking to residents and the engineers on site.  It’s certainly good to see so much investment in the ward right now.
