Residents at the two Police PACT meetings held in the ward this week, were told the good news that the latest figures show crime is DOWN in Edgbaston.
The figures for the first quarter of the financial year show that overall, recorded crime in Edgbaston is down by 10.6% against the same quarter last year.
Burglary from a dwelling house was down by 38.9%, robbery by 25%, vehicle crime by 32.3% and violent crime by 33%. Overall, there were 58 fewer offences in Edgbaston this quarter than in the same quarter last year.
These are excellent results. Full marks to our local Edgbaston Police for their good work.
