The May meeting of the Edgbaston District Tasking Committee took place yesterday at the Woodgate Valley Fire Station.
The meeting was chaired by the local Police Inspector and issues in all four wards were covered. Cllr Hutchings and I attended on behalf of Edgbaston Ward and discussed issues such as crime and anti-social behaviour, fly tipping, parking and speeding.
Various multi-agency initiatives are in the pipe line to deal with these issues – including the use of a new police mobile speed check device, and a major operation to deal with a particular issue in the ward (more about that in due course).
As always, if anyone knows of any fly tipping or rubbish hot spots within Edgbaston Ward, email me the details and I will get our Hit Squad to deal with it. They’re here to keep our area clean and tidy.
