There was a packed agenda at the Edgbaston Ward meeting held at St Mary & St Ambrose Church Hall this evening.
The District budget, the Edgbaston Planning Framework (centred around the Greenfield Crescent area of the Ward), and Birmingham’s Mobility Action Plan, were all on the agenda. Labour’s Mobility Action Plan of course contains ideas such as a congestion charge and a work place parking levy, both of which would almost certainly increase parking problems in Edgbaston which would not be good news for our residents.
There was also an update on Community First, a round up of current planning applications in the ward, a report from our Environmental Warden, a round up of this year’s Community Chest grants and time for questions from members of the public.
The next Ward meeting will be in June, after the local elections have taken place.
